Spied 1 lone monarch in my front yard 2 days ago. It was nectaring on the butterfly bush in the afternoon sun. Cool temps in the morning and evening gives a smaller window of time for flight! Still needing fuel for the trip. Hope it gets on out of here quickly! Warmer temps predicted for the coming week may bring more "stragglers"...we'll see! Reports from Assateague Island have continued, as I have noticed...so there may be lots more! My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
