Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/23/2010

Number: 1

I saw the first hummingbird I have ever seen in this area and I have lived here since 1974. It was high on a phone wire and was back lit but when it flew it appeared to be a male ruby throat. It returned a few moments later. On the fence below is a profusely blooming wild flower vine with bright pink trumpet shaped flowers. I assume this is the attraction. I know nothing about their habits but will watch for more sightings.
