The children have been watching the weather for the right time to plant the tulip bulbs. The agreed that today was a good day. We went out to our back playground and planted bulbs making sure that the flat side was on the bottom and the pointed side up. We used the Journey North pictures as an example and planted craft sticks with our names on them beside the bulbs. The children weighed the bulbs and looked at cross sections of bulbs. They said it would be a long time before we would see the flowers grow because Spring comes after Winter and we are in Autumn now. I was pleased with the activity. We took pictures to record the event.
