Tulips PLANTED

Date: 10/26/2010

Number: 1

On October 26, 2010, we planted our Journey North tulip bulbs. It rained the day before we planted so the soil was muddy. As instructed, we planted them 7 inches deep and 4 inches apart. We found earthworms and grubs in the soil while we were digging. The temperature was in the 50's with a north wind which made it feel cold outside. Digging a 7 inch hole took a long time. The soil was soft and moist so we hope our tulips will be happy in our garden and grow into beautiful spring flowers. Sincerely, Miss Flannigan's Fifth Graders
