It was a beautiful October day for learning about our Dutch history and planting tulip bulbs at the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center. Students in Kristen Zaloom's fourth grade class from Loudonville Chrisian School helped me plant a Journey North garden here at the Visitors Center. They will also be planting tulips at their school. Our city is the capitol of New York and host an annual tulip festival in May.
