A female or young ruby throated hummingbird at my feeder for two weeks or so and will not leave and it is almost November 1st. I am concerned that she will freeze. What can I do to to prevent this. Can I buy a hummingbird shelter for her if she is unable to leave due to age etc? and place it in my trees nearby?
