Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/24/2010

Number: 1

While strolling through the Gulf Islands National Seashore near Pensacola, Florida I observed about 100 Monarchs feeding on a plant that looked like a variety of Eupatorium. It was 80 degrees, overcast and windy and the monarchs looked like they were hunkered down for the day.
I also observed another 50 monarchs around Gulf Breeze, Florida on 10/25/10. My observation time: I was watching for 2 hours. 3-5pm
