I just finished talking with a butterfly person on Grand Isle, LA who said that they see a fall migration and a small overwintering population on the island.
The migration is best seen when driving north on route 1 toward Larose.
He also said that there has been a significant decline in the number of monarchs that he has seen during the past 3 years.
