Tulips PLANTED

Date: 11/03/2010

Number: 1

We used shovels to dig in the ground. We dug long trenches for the tulip bulbs. There was a lot of wet dirt, worms and grubs. It was like burying something, but in order for it to be born. There were also a lot of rocks in our way. When the skin was off the tulip bulbs it looked like an onion. Some of the roots were already starting to grow in the classroom. We dug the trenches between two pairs of stairs on a hill next to our school. The day we planted the tulip bulbs it was kind of sunny and warm for an early November day. After we put the bulbs in we covered them over with dirt. Today (the day after) it is very rainy and that should help them grow.
