Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 11/06/2010

Number: 1

Walked a mile along the banks of the Salt River in the Rio Salado Restoration Habitat in downtown Phoenix this morning and spotted 15 to 20 monarchs mainly nectaring on thick stands of Seep Willow. Usually seen in groups of 3 to 4. Monarchs are also returning to the area by the waterfall where small numbers spent the winter the last five years (that we know of). My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
