I was informed tonight that last Tuesday, November 2nd, Don Tyerman, Biodiversity Specialist at Presqu'ile Provincial Park, travelled over to High Bluff Island (located off of the Presqu'ile Park peninsula), and he spotted 5 monarch butterflies there, one of which appeared as if it had just emerged. Very few nectar sources remain in the area.
Daytime high temperature today about 4 C, and approaching freezing tonight.

My own personal late date for the park was one individual seen on Gull Island (between High Bluff Island and the mainland) on November 8th one year.
