Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 11/07/2010

Number: 1

Didn't have much time to look for Monarchs today.
However, I still saw several Monarchs. From how few we saw in Spring and none in summer this is wonderful to be seeing so many Monarchs.

One Monarch appeared to have gone thru a lot. It was so torn you couldn't tell by spots if male, the wing parts were gone. As I watched him in my front yard, he aggressively was chasing away another butterfly, possibly a gulf fritillary. I think this was a male.

I have put out more flowers as to give these drop ins a place to get a drink.
