The 5th and 6th graders planted 18 red emperor tulip bulbs on Thursday, November 11th. It was a chilly morning from 9-9:45 and then at 11:15-12:00 when we planted them 7 inches deep. We thought up ways to plant different experimental bulbs. We put a tag where we planted each one and drew a map of our plot. We will put a fence around the plot to keep deer from eating them in the spring and to keep people from walking across our tulip plot! We had fun planting our bulbs. We also planted other bulb flowers like daffodils, crocuses, and hyacinths. We hope they grow!
