Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 11/11/2010

Number: 1

I had two monarchs make their chrysilis' on our front porch about two or three weeks ago. On Monday, November 8, the first one came out and today the other one came out. I was able to watch the one today. It was having a problem clinging to the porch post, so I was able to get it to climb on my finger and I moved it to a milkweed plant where it finished drying and spreading it's wings. It was the first time I have been able to monitor the entire process from caterpillar to butterfly. I am curious to know if these two will go on to migrate to south Louisiana or to Mexico? My observation time: I was watching for _3__ hours and ___ minutes.
