RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD FEMALE, hatch year, average weight, healthy & fit. 11/01/10. First sighted at our nectar feeder at 9:48am. My husband and I both watched each morning for the hummingbird. She made a habit of coming a little after 7am each day, about thirty minute intervals in morning, and one hour intervals in afternoon. She came each day like clockwork. The bird banders came on 11/11/10. She stayed two more days. On 11/14/10 she appeared no more. Farewell. Her migration journey commenced once more.
