Today was wonderful! After thoroughly exploring both the outside and inside, students finally got their bulbs in the ground. (It was such a relief to have the aid of a fellow fifth grade teacher and a few of his students.) We are sharing the space with another 2nd grade class, so we halfened the area and made four rows of five (20 students). The kids amazed me at how technical they were with ensuring that their bulbs were all exactly seven inches below the ground. Both they and myself are now anxiously awaiting spring!
