Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 11/18/2010

Number: 1

Observed a hummingbird (ruby-throat; and looked like one of the three that frequented our feeders this summer)as I was pulling into our driveway. The feeder is hanging from a live oak branch. It was a nice day around 70 degrees and she sipped nectar and rested for a long time. I had not seen a hummingbird at our feeders for around 3 weeks, so I figured they had migrated. Although I think this was "Hannah" (as we call her), perhaps it was a late migrator from up north. I will continue to keep the feeders filled but I worry because the nights are getting colder.
