We planted over 20 Red Emperor bulbs in a bed we had dug at our new hilltop home a few miles south of Fayetteville, AR. We planted them 7" deep and at least 4" apart, according to instruction. The soil seems good; we just mixed in a little bonemeal before planting the bulbs. It was a pretty warm and balmy day yesterday when we planted, but we are expecting a possible hard freeze Thanksgiving night.
