We got the feeder out as early as 6:30 am, and we got between nine and 10 visitors throughout the day. I tried to get a light/lamp next to the feeder in hopes to keep it warm. Around 4:30 pm before the dropping to freezing temperature, we had an Annas humming bird pausing for a while next to the lamp after feeding :-) However, the lamp didnt do the job at the end of the day to keep the syrup from getting frozen. Around 8pm the syrup was almost frozen, and I got it in contrary to my intention of leaving it out with the light. I may need to get a better arrangement with the heat lamp/light bulb.
