Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 11/24/2010

Number: 1

Well, the temp here dropped to 11 degrees last night and we have several inches of snow on the ground, but the feeder has stayed out all night with our light on it and it is a steady 43 degrees. We leave the light on all night and leave the feeder out since we have figured out hot to keep the temp deal on the feeder. I put an upside down alum disposible pie plate on the top to keep the rain and snow off the feeder itself and that is working also. We now expect to see them sun bathing in the heat light with sun glasses. 3 just came by playing tag and then a male anna's came by to feed. So we have had a total of 6 hummers to the feeder this morning.
