Our class broke into 6 groups to use the checklist to decide which of the the six proposed sites would be best for our tulip garden according to the checklist. After going through the entire checklist for each site except temperature, we put thermometers in each location and recored the temperature for a few days to find the average temperature. We checked the average temperature for our area and the site that had the highest point value from the checklist and the temperature that most closely matched the average temperature for our city was the winning site. We planted just in time. There was a snow storm that piled up 12 inches of snow the very next week.
