It was a cool Fall day with a little mist in the air, when we planted our tulip bulbs (20 of them). We planted them around a tree surrounded by benches on the front playground of our school. We dug down 7-8 inches through the tough soil. There were a lot of rocks. We also saw a few worms. We are hoping our tulips will be safe from students playing on the playground and we will probably have to make a sign reminding them that our tulips are planted around the tree.
