Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 12/08/2010

Number: 1

I am new to this website,so I don't yet know all the terms, etc. This morning at 9:00 am,I noticed a small Monarch butterfly stuck to a window screen. As temp. last night went down to 25 degrees, I did not know if the butterfly was alive. I touched it, and it kinda moved, so I took it inside for a while to warm up. After about 10 minutes, it spread its wings, so I took it back outdoors, temp.now is 43 degrees. It looked like a "baby" butterfly to me, as it was quite small. After a few minutes,it flew away . . . my first rescue of a Monarch! butterfly! My observation time: I was watching for ___ hours and ___ minutes.
