Practice Report (Any Species)

Date: 12/22/2010

Number: 1

Two bald eagles, full grown: i sited one initially because it was in flight and soaring at the level of my vehicle only 25 yards away. i was crossing the dam over little grassy lake. so i turned my car around and was able to park and observe as he/she perched in a leafless, tall tree. that's when i saw the second eagle perching in an adajacent tree. they were spaced about 50 yds. apart and set back from the road about 75 - 100 yds. i watched for 3 to 5 minutes as they rested. one eagle was larger and kept it's feathers more "fluffed". they appeared fierce and proud. what a an amazing, early Christmas present!
