Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 12/28/2010

Number: 1

We have what I believe is a black-chinned hummingbird here at our house. He has been here (I think he is an immature male)for about 6 weeks. I have told Audubon about the sighting as well as the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences, because overwintering black-chinned hummingbirds here in N.C. are not common and very few of them have been banded for research.
