Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 01/03/2011

Number: 1

Today we returned to Bales Intermediate School after our Christmas break. My class was surprised to find that many of our milkweed plants where stripped of leaves. My students soon observed that we had many Monarch larvae at different stages of development. We had over 20 larvae and spotted an adult Monarch butterfly flying around our butterfly garden. We were very surprised and happy to see them!
