We have never seen robins in the winter before. They are now coming in everyday {even in the snow} to eat from our crabapple tree. This has never happened before and the tree has been the same for several years. We have been feeding the other winter birds by just throwing the sunflower seeds right on the patio each morning. I have started throwing some nuts and raisins out there also for the blue jays. This is the only reason I can think of that kept them from migrating. Here we usually know when winter is over by seeing our first robins. This is just unheard of where We live, I could not find anyone that knew why we had them still.
Your help would be most welcome. Thank you Kathi Dallas
