We planted our tulips in a garden bed that measured about 25 square feet. This bed had been abandoned and we had to do some weeding first. We followed the protocol for planting our tulips with the help of Mr. John Murphy who is the director of The Bullington Horticulture Center. Some of us had never planted ANYTHING before so we liked getting our hands in the cold soil. It snowed the weekend after we planted our tulips so they are winterizing...waiting for the warmth of spring to come.
