Date: 01/09/2011

Number: 1

Spotted three monarchs nectaring on Seep Willow at the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area in downtown Phoenix. These monarchs survived last week's big freeze of temperatures in the mid to upper 20's. All were very slightly faded. 59 degrees with hazy sun. Also resighted a monarch nectaring on Sweetbush, Bebbia juncea, and occasionally sunning on a Cottonwood Tree originally tagged on December 28th.
