I have been watching my birds today and they are hungry!At the pan feeder there have been house sparrows,slate juncos, goldfinches,cardinals,and jays.Also the chicken from next door.About two weeks ago we had some heavy weather and I didn't get out to the feeder for a couple of days.The sparrows went somewhere else and got into something that did not agree with their systems.They(the sparrows)had diarrhea.I hope they don't get into it again.Do they remember things like that? Although we are still in the deep freeze here, I am thinking about spring and all that needs to be done.January is almost done and I will be watching more as some start coming through as early as February.Good birding to you.
