A "cold" front is coming in from the north and temps predicted to drop into the 20's tonight. As, late in the afternoon, we neared a new home we are buying a large flock of Robins began lifting from the ground. As we drove along the dirt road, about 1000 ft, they continued to fly from the ground, across the road to the pine woods. Their chirping, just seeing them, lifted our hearts. There were several small waves, altogether a good guess would be about 100-150 actually observed.
