This lone robin alighted on my crabapple tree and just "hung out" for a while, sitting still as well as fluttering from branch to branch. Since that first sighting, this robin has appeared EVERY day. It is quite fat-looks well fed. That robin is present right now and I just observed it chasing away another bird who "dared" to rest on the same tree. One additional note-on Jan. 19th, a group of about 15 robins flew in and alighted on this very same tree. It has been fun to watch. This robin must be pretty aggressive because I just observed it chase another bird out of his/her "territory."
