When a neighbor told me she had sighted one robin about 10 days ago I wondered if it could be one that simply didn't migrate but today I was surprised to see a flock of robin numbering about 2 doz. flying from tree to tree. This is the earliest kind of sighting for me after living in this location for over 40 years! We still have and will continue to have snow for another month or more. Our temps have been unseasonably cold for the last 2 months, very frigid nights at zero and lower. On another note, I notice that my goldfinch have started to turn color already.
