Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/29/2011

Number: 1

Looking out the window yesterday watching the cardinals at the feeders when I spotted a robin! I ran and got my binoculars and camera and sure enough, after close observation, there are 6 robins in my yard! At present we have at least 4 inches of snow on the ground but, there is an area along the fence that my neighbors washing machine water is running too. He has a french drain dug in his yard so it won't go in his septic field and tank and it freezes up in the winter so it runs free! It has melted the snow in this one area and that's where the robins are pecking and obviously feeding! I normally do not see robins in this area till mid to late March. It's been quite a treat to see them back so soon!
