January 27, 2011, I was checking the bird bath, to see if the ice had melted and I was refilling the suet containers, which were nearby. To my surprise there was a wave of Robins, some in the trees, some sitting on the ground. I was totally surprised, I have never seen Robins here this early, usually the end of Febuary is the earliest. So far this winter has been very cold here in Western North Carolina, the ground has been frozen for the past month, I don't know of any other foods the Robin's eat, other than worms.
