On the drive from Helena to Missoula I spotted today no fewer than 15 bald eagles and 2 additional eagles that were entirely brown. I could not tell from the distance if they were immature bales or goldens. I am searching for information about whether or not it is unusual to see such a high concentration of balds in this area this time of year. I was born and raised in Montana and have been here for the better part of the last 38 years. I have never seen even close to this many eagles on one short 2 hour drive. I would appreciate any information you can send. Thank you.
