Today I saw the sap dripping from a high limb and a sap icicle hanging right by it on our Great Sliver Maple. Our tree is huge and is about 180 years old. It is always the first tree we see the start of the run of sap . It was a warm and sunny day and I am so excited to tap our other trees this year. We will have to wait a few days because a snow and ice storm is headed our way tomorrow.
