An unusual large number of Robins stayed in our neighborhood this past December and January. In the front yard of one of our next door neighbors is a Bradford Pear tree. The tree for the first time in the fall of 2010 produced a small-nut like seed that attracted Robins. This turned out to be a major food source for the Robins this winter. So on January 1, 2011 I saw dozens of Robins just by looking out any window in the front of our house!
