Feb, 4 2011, this morning I woke to a sighting of well over 75-100 robins in my yard. I have never seen robins in the area let alone my yard in Feb. They were drinking from my koi pond-as there was a bubbler running and also a heated area where there was not ice. The robins were all over the yard, in the trees and they were flying off the house as they took turns at the water hole.
Later I had to let my dogs into the yard and the robins left for a time but I saw them on the back half of my acre where the dogs cannot venture and they were just sitting on top of the snow waiting for the dogs to go inside. I locked the dogs back inside and the robins have returned to the watering hole.
