We planted our garden on October 6, 2010 and it was 8 degree Celsius. We planted in a new spot (we dug up lawn) along side a sidewalk. There are tree to the west of our garden, about 20-25 feet away. We also added garden soil to the tilled area and we plan on emptying our composter onto the soil before school is done for the summer. The garden is along the driveway to the school. We planted both Red Emperor Tulips and the daffodils they sent us as well. Right now (Feb 5) the garden is covered with about a foot and a half of snow.
