We have a Hawthorn tree in the backyard and have seen up to 20 robins, at one time, eating the berries this weekend. Until yesterday, we have never seen them eat these berries ever! (The tree has had fruit for at least 4 years now.) I cannot recall ever seeing a robin in our area before March 1. We do have 14" on snow on the ground.
