Tulips EMERGED

February 8
Ms. Sires' third grade class, 3C, was excited to find that 6 of the 23 tulips have emerged! Students described them with the following words; green, pointy, waxy, triangular, smooth, moist, sticky and small. They ranged in size from 1cm to 4cms.

February 15
Ms. Sires' third grade class, 3C, found that 19 tulips have emerged. They ranged in size. The tallest one was 1 1/2 inches tall and the little ones were 1 cm tall. 5 tulips have unfurled. Some adjectives students used to describe the tulips were; violet, dark purple, light and dark reddish, light and dark greenish. One tulip mysteriously appeared to have either split into two or had a very close neighbor!
