Bacause it is a bit warmer here in the south, milkweed seeds that blew from last year's crop are now sprouting all over my yard. I have some that are far enough along to have flowers on them. I usually mow around all the stems to keep as many wild milkweed alive as possible. When my plants get overwhelmed with caterpillars I usually break down and buy potted plants to feed them all. Off to a very good start with wild milkweed for this season!
