On January 25, 2010 noted Monarch Caterpillar on bush (not Milkweed but has milky substance in stems and red/yellow tiny clustered flowers) Caterpillar hyper-active. Jan 26 spot same caterpillar on side of stucco house. Place back on bush he/she goes under a leaf. Next morning remove to sterile jar (had infected cocoon in jar month ago). Note caterpillar sheds his/her skin and envelops self in a gelatinous cocoon with tiny gold beads. Today 2.9.11 cocoon beginning to split.
