All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 02/11/2011

Number: 1

This morning at 8:05 AM my husband and I saw a huge flock of blackbirds in the 3 trees next to our local stream, Lubber's Run. The brook is still frozen over, but there they perched squawking up a storm in those tree tops. There were about 80 or more blackbirds, many being cowbirds. It is so snow covered up around here, we fear for their survival at this time of the season.
