I saw quite a few Robins yesterday flying around our house and again this morning (2/12/11). I thought this is quite unusual. It seems the earliest I've seen robins in the past has been probably around sometime in March or April. What is the reason, if there is one, for them to be in norther Illinois so early in the season with so much snow still on the ground? How will they find food?
