Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/12/2011

Number: 1

We returned from shopping and found our yard as well as neighboring yards heavily populated with a wave of migrating Robins, numbering 300-400. They were searching for worms, but primarily competing with a group of 65-75 Cedar Waxwings for berries on Youpons, Hollies and Photina bushes. The bushes are cleaned out now. I don't know if the Waxwings and Robins just happened to arrive at the same place by coincidence or were traveling together. We have temps in the 50s today after a very cold week with 7-8" of snow. The snow is almost gone today with the warmer temperatures.
