Bald Eagle

Date: 02/16/2011

Number: 1

We have a bald eagle nest 1/4 mi west of our home, and see the pair of eagles all the time. (Affectionately named Libby and Indy for Liberty and Independence) We've recently seen them in the back yard w/ a Golden Eagle, and another pair of Bald Eagles from 2mi west of our house. (Bill and Connie...Bill of Rights and Constitution) All birds fly well and look very healthy. Since they don't wear name tags, and look alike it's hard to tell who is who, but we see them in groups and can tell all is well. Two days ago they were riding thermals right over the house....wow! Our nearest neighbor who has lived here for many years says there are many pairs in the area.
