10 AM spotted huge mixed flock of Snow Geese--both the white and "blue" forms
at 1.5-2 thousand ft. North bound from back deck. Took pictures with 500mm lens. Approx. 60-70 snow geese with black wing tips, white body. Guessing at altitude but I am pilot so think fairly close.

In the afternoon (after the morning sighting) I had gone up to the river wetlands project site at Alton, IL on the Mississippi to get some last photos of the Bald Eagles before they headed North and saw 2 more huge flocks of the same birds, same approximate altitude. This time about 200-300 birds. A lot of Snow Geese.
