I took a ride in to the Kuyahoora Valley were the West Canada Creek rushes through to merge with the Mohawk. There has been an explosion of eagle sightings coming from that area and has been covered by a local newspaper. I had to drive all the way to Gravesville, where their calls filled the air. I had a sighting of one in a field eating a carcass. There are other hotspots through out Herkimer County. What's interesting is I keep being told that local people have tried to keep it quiet for who knows how long. They don't want anything to happen to them. Now when one is seen at the side of road, with flip and a snap of our strengthening digital technology it's on a local media website in minutes.
